I'm quite aware that my introduction picture for today's pick has more meanings than one. Yes I am aware that my past 3 picks have "choked" (thanks Ozzie for your illustration!). So I'm going to switch from the AL East to the AL Central and hope that my luck changes!
MLB Pick for July 23, 2011:
Chicago White Sox +1.5/Cleveland Indians -1.5
Over/Under: 8.5
In tonight's match up we have the Sox bringing Edwin Jackson (6-7 with a 3.97 ERA) verse David Huff of the Indians. First things said, how can you pick the Indians to keep up their pace in the AL Central without their studs Grady Sizemore and Shin-Soo-Choo??! Bottom line is you can't! That is why I am considering picking the White Sox to win. The White Sox hold the regular season match up lead 8-2 so far this year. Bringing Edwin Jackson to the mound pretty much seals the deal for me picking the White Sox to win this game even if they are the underdogs.
MY PICK: Chicago White Sox to cover the spread of +1.5
