Daily Bet - Brewers vs Diamondbacks

Written by: Josh Hammer, The Reserve Clause

Last night showed my predictions to be true and for the Cardinals to come out with hot bats. They did exactly that posting 4 runs in the first 4 innings. The injuries their bullpen has been suffering from all season showed and they blew their lead. Of all things, they suffered from a walk off HR and ruined my pick for the night. I look to rebound from my pick last night and offer an underdog to be victorious tonight!

MLB Pick for July 21, 2011:

Spread: Milwaukee Brewers +1.5/Arizona Diamondbacks -1.5
Over/Under: 8.5

On this Thursday evening of MLB we only have a few games to select from. I have studied the matchups and the lines and I have decided to offer my pick for the Milwaukee Brewers v Arizona Diamondbacks game. Heading into this match up, the Brewers are on a 2 game winning streak while the Diamondbacks look to end their skid of losing 2 in a row. The Brewers will be putting Greinke  (7-3 and a 5.04 ERA) on the mound tonight and he will be battling against Ian Kennedy (10-3 and a 3.39 ERA). With both the Cardinals and Pirates losing yesterday, the Brewers can make some serious momentum in the NL Central. I look for the Brewers to continue their streak and bump it to 3 games in a row by upsetting Ian Kennedy and the Arizona Diamondsbacks tonight. A major factor for me to make this pick is that the Diamondbacks stud shortstop Stephen Drew suffered a broken ankle and will be out for quite some time. I am sticking to this upset and siding with the Prince and the Milwaukee Brewers.

MY PICK: Milwaukee Brewers to win straight up
