Well everyone, it looks like I started out with a winning pick last night! Since I got things off to a good start I'm going to go ahead and put another MLB pick up for today.
MLB Pick for July 20, 2011:
Spread: St. Louis Cardinals +1.5/New York Mets-1.5
Over/Under: 8.5
Tonight will be a difficult match up for the St. Louis Cardinals because they are going up against a veteran knuckleballer in R.A. Dickey. If Dickey doesn't come out strong and consistent he could be looking at a long night with the powerful bats that the Cardinals have. However, Kyle McClellan will be taking the mound for the Cardinals after having 12 days of rest. Some might frown upon his extended amount of rest (includes the break for the All-Star Game festivities) and think he will come out rusty. I strongly believe that he will come out guns blazing and have a strong outing against the Mets who have been struggling with run production this season. Having lost their last 2 games, the Cardinals will be pushing for a win to stay in contention to win the NL Central. Look for the St. Louis Cardinals to come out with hot bats tonight and rattle R.A. Dickey early.
